AMC Bridge Became a Sponsor of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad ACM ICPC

The first stage of the All-Ukrainian ACM ICPC Student Olympiad was held at Oles Honchar Dnipro National University. ACM ICPC is the International Collegiate Programming Contest of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). IT Dnipro Community supported the event as a partner and AMC Bridge, as a sponsor of the Olympiad, awarded the winners.

"Programming Olympiad requires knowledge of the modern algorithms and data structures. Tasks for competition are based on the relevant scientific articles. Participants get access to the modern knowledge in the field of academic programming. That is why it is extremely important to support such events so that young people have the opportunity to join the advanced knowledge, become competitive and could realize themselves in the future", said Yevhen Hostishchev, Executive Director of IT Dnipro Community.

This year more than 400 teams across the country registered for the Olympiad. In Dnipro, 60 student teams were among the participants, and 13 school teams participated outside the main competition program. Each team consisted of three participants and a coach. It is interesting that there was only one computer for one team, this way not only the knowledge, but also the team spirit was judged. Thus, not only their knowledge was checked, but also the team spirit. Oles Honchar Dnipro National University is a basic higher educational institution for ACM ICPC in Dnipropetrovsk region and Central Ukrainian region. The winner of the Ukrainian stage will compete in the world final.
